Music Ministry at KPC

We are blessed at KPC to have a worship team whose sole purpose is to enhance the worship service through music in an effort to bring the congregation closer to Christ through active participation. Even the great theologian Augustine recognized the potential power of music in the church and once wrote, "When you sing, you pray twice"!

Christopher began his music ministry in high school at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale as a member of the Chancel Choir and eventual soloist. At Northwestern University, he continued his ministry at Crawford Avenue Baptist Church in Evanston, IL as a vocal soloist, choral member, and acoustic guitarist. Returning to Miami, Christopher became music director for the first time at St. Augustine Church in Coral Gables (1984-1987) and then music director at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for the next seventeen years. After a brief "retirement" from church music, Christopher was hired to play bass at an Easter service at KPC in 2013 and eventually became music director in 2020.
